History

In 1963, 27-year old Theo Bossers started B&G Hekwerk (Fencing) in a residence in Eindhoven. In its early days, the company especially focused on repairing and painting fences for private individuals, but this was soon followed by a transition to the business market.

It became essential for the company to start producing fences itself. Therefore, B&G moved its business to the Hallenweg in Best (near Eindhoven) in 1967. At the same time B&G had started selling fences throughout the Netherlands and it set up an office in Belgium. In 1978, the foundation for the realization of a new housing estate in Best was laid. Here, a modern production facility and office were realized on a large plot of land. B&G moved into this building in 1979 and adopted a full focus on the production of fences and gates in subsequent years. In the eighties, many (product) innovations followed. For instance, B&G was the first company to introduce quadrangle bars in the Netherlands; this so-called Palissade fence is still  one of the top products in our range today. Also, B&G was the first to realize a 10 and 12 meters cantilever sliding gate as well as a ram-proof fence for the automotive industry. Moreover, B&G was the first fencing company in the Netherlands that managed to receive the ISO-certification.

In the nineties, electronics became increasingly important and B&G developed from a fence producer par excellence into an all-round property protector. From that time onwards developments rapidly succeeded each other.

In 2003, B&G shifts gears and presents a new approach. Instead of merely selling fence products B&G offers security solutions in the full sense of the word. Based on a risk assessment of the location and customers' specific wishes an all-encompassing solution is proposed. This new approach is accompanied by the introduction of a new logo and corporate identity: a new B&G.

In the meantime B&G has become the specialist in the field of perimeter security. Alongside its own experience and expertise, B&G often cooperates with reliable partners in the field of access control systems. B&G is ready for the future.
